Ms. Thigpen-Allen joined the company in 2000, after several years of part-time assistance. Her major career was a formal appointment as a United States Probation Officer, investigating and composing presentence reports for Federal judges, and counseling convicted felons. Awards were garnered from the U.S. Secret Service, DEA, the U.S. Attorney's Office, the U.S. Marshall Service and the FBI for her fine work in the field of criminal justice. Through Allen and Partners, Inc., she is currently prepared to conduct social assessments of defendants for attorneys that target factors for the court's consideration at sentencing.
Her writing and editing skills are unparalleled, and she composes business proposals/grants, brochures, press kits, program journals, posters, resource guides and annual reports. Her creativity is evident in her concept development, layout designs, program composition, and event photography. Ms. Thigpen-Allen handles media relations and public relations for the firm. She consults for nationwide special events for the New York City based Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund and handles marketing projects for the Plainfield Health Center [New Jersey]. She assisted with health conferences implemented for the New Jersey Department of Health and the Solaris Hospital System.
Despite a busy career, she further honed her public relations skills through terms as President of the North Jersey Chapter of Jack & Jill of America, as Vice President of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Montclair chapter, and as Fundraising Chairperson and Membership Vice President for her chapter of The Links, Inc. These positions required conference/event planning, corporate solicitation, as well as programmatic consideration, processes that she handles expertly. Service on national and regional committees in these groups and "corporate wife" duties give her a unique perspective. She holds membership in the National Coalition of Black Meeting Planners.
John Jay College of Criminal Justice of the City University of New York awarded Ms. Thigpen-Allen a Master of Arts degree in Criminal Justice. Fairleigh Dickinson University is her undergraduate alma mater.
