Clyde C. Allen is President and Founder of Allen and Partners, Inc, a marketing services firm that offers expertise in strategic business initiatives including public relations, market research, event planning and management, promotions, conference/meeting planning, graphic design, and business consultation.
Market research initiatives include development of market analysis programs for Allstate Insurance Company, Eddie Bauer and TBS Superstation. Customized research assignments include the Caribbean Consumer Study for Inner City Broadcasting, , New Jersey Department of Health Focus Groups, Indiana Expo's Demographic Study, WNYC Public Radio Focus Groups, and compensation and benefit surveys for both Johnson & Johnson and M&M Mars. Allen and Partners produces and publishes the Urban Consumer Market Report annually for the National Alliance of Market Developers. Syndicated research projects involve a beverage industry study with On-Going Mobile Access Research (OMAR) and Seagram Americas national Beverage Industry Review. Customized lectures, carefully researched, are available concerning specific market research.
While Director of Public Relations/Event Marketing for the House of Seagram, Mr. Allen created and executed events, promotions and trade marketing that featured the company's brands. He launched the Seagram's Gin "A Taste of the Blues" tour, the launch of Martell cognac through "The Art of Harmony" tour, the Crown Royal Comedy showcase, Absolut Jazz, and the widely heralded Absolut Art Heritage Series. As Corporate Director of Community Affairs for Joseph E. Seagram & Sons, he furthered Seagram's efforts in new business development, purchasing, trade marketing, legislative relations, event marketing and communications.
Mr. Allen has been recognized extensively for his pioneering efforts in marketing. He was named Marketer Of The Year by the National Alliance of Market Developers and was honored by the Public Relations Advertising Marketing Excellence (PRAME) Board. Other national honors include the prestigious Lovejoy Award from the ELKS, nine CEBA Awards, the Governor's Award from Indiana, the President's Social Responsibility Award from Kent State University, the Corporate Award from the National Newspaper Publishers Association and a Exemplary Community Service Commendation from President Ronald Reagan.
He served two terms as Chairman of the Board of the National Alliance of Market Developers and is the current Executive Director. He chairs the Corporate Advisory Board of the National United Merchants Beverage Association and belongs to Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity, Mu Boule Chapter. A graduate of Kent State University where he received a B.S. in Microbiology, Mr. Allen also holds a M.S. in Industrial Relations from Rutgers University.
